Owen Sound was the home of Canada's World War Two flying ace William Avery "Billy" Bishop. Bishop contributed to the advancement of aerial highways, served Canada for the cause of freedom, and even tangled with the infamous Red Baron. The Bishop house was built in 1882-84, and is now dedicated to upholding Canada's aviation past.
